Small Businesses are important to the growth of jobs in the United States. More than 600,000 businesses are started each year and over one-half will fail due to lack of experience on the owner’s part within 2-4 years. In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Business Employment Dynamics, “About two-thirds of businesses with employees survive at least 2 years and about half survive at least 5 years. As one would expect, after the first few relatively volatile years, survival rates flatten out.”

The challenge to launching and building successful ventures is to have a solid plan-and then work that plan. However, most entrepreneurs don’t have the skills to even write much less research and develop the financials for a solid plan. They need skilled coaches to ensure that they are following the plan. They also need to know when they need to alter the plan.

Do I need to have a business plan to work with VQG?

No way! We like to sit down with clients when they are in the “Thinking” stage. We will be very honest in our assessment of your plans. While we’ve learned to never tell anyone that their idea won’t work, we can help you come to an understanding of what it will take to be successful.

How much does a business plan cost?

Prices vary from as little as $1,000 to $5,000+ depending on the focus and detail necessary. Your VQG Business Partner will present the options to you at the Initial consultation and you can make the call!

What if I’ve never worked internationally? How do you help me “Go Global”?

The simple answer is…carefully and strategically. There is a process for everything we do in business. The decision to “Go Global” is made with much thought and research. We will walk you through each step of the process explaining the pros and cons of each and helping you to make the ultimate decision…which may be to NOT “Go Global”!

Where have some of the people you have helped establish U.S. businesses come from-and what kinds of businesses?

Our staff have worked with people from the Caribbean island of Dominica (working on a plan to launch a line of food products in the U.S.) to a baker from Venezuela. Our clients have also launched a new line of tea from China and we researched the establishment of a new coffee line from Brazil.

What export programs have you worked on?

We are currently working with a company to provide renewable energy products and services to government entities in African countries as well as assisting a Houston-based logistics company with the expansion of its services into Dubai.

What is involved with a trade show/exhibit program?

We really like these! We have over 35 years of managing the design, construction, shipping, set-up, and management of trade show exhibits worldwide. The exhibits have ranged from a simple banner stand or table top display to double-decker displays and even displays with helicopters flying from the roof! Our staff were among the first U.S. group to exhibit in Beijing, PRC. But even more important than the structure itself, is the training of the staff so that the exhibit project is successful in terms of sales, not just aesthetics! We leave nothing to chance!
